Coaches Corner: Erin Caughron, Interim Program Manager for Empower Leadership Academy

We’re excited to announce that Erin Caughron has joined the Empower Leadership Academy team as our Interim Program Manager! Erin is an English Language Arts and Reading teacher and an active member of TeamWomen. She serves on the Young Professionals Advisory Board, WaveMaker Awards committee, and Leadership Conference committee in addition to being an Empower coach.

Erin has been blessed with strong, inspiring individuals in her life who have modeled what it means to be a servant leader. Their support and guidance have empowered her to be bold and take risks personally and professionally. They have also shown her the rewards of giving and sharing one’s gifts in order to make an impact on the world. “Trying my best and persevering through the tough stuff wasn’t as intimidating knowing they were behind me,” she says.

Coaching and teaching were part of her life even before she entered a classroom of her own. Erin started teaching swimming lessons back in 8th grade and taught freshmen sections of Leadership Studies during college. From toddlers to adults, Erin has a wide array of teaching experience and is excited to take on this new role as Empower’s Interim Program Manager.
